Winter Cycling Congress
Calgary is hosting the Winter Cycling Congress on February 6-8, 2019. The focus of the congress is to share best practices for building and maintaining year-round cycling infrastructure, winter city policy & strategy, inclusive design, discuss education and encouragement strategies and to host meaningful and inspiring events for all ages. We also hope that the event will act as a catalyst to have a broader conversation about how to support winter policies for transportation, recreation and overall citizen well-being. This event will also include special programming for youth as well as a parallel academic stream connecting researchers and practitioners.
We anticipate between 200-300 international delegates will attend WCC2019 and we would like to increase the exposure of this event to municipalities, planners, engineers and other interested audiences that may not have otherwise known about the opportunity to attend.
