Abstract:<\/h2>\n

'Provide a conceptual understanding of the various components (both psycho-active and metabolites) of marijuana in its various forms such as edibles, vaporized &amp; smoked so as to provide for better detection techniques for driver impairment.<\/p>\n

Objectives<\/em><\/p>\n

1) Provide a direction based on known research regarding impairment levels at different marijuana consumption scenarios.
\n2) Pros and cons of established threshold limits for marijuana impairment
\n3) Understanding the differences between occasional and chronic users in terms of impairment<\/p>\n

Legislators, policy makers, law enforcement, research &amp; advocacy groups<\/p>\n

Activities<\/em><\/p>\n

Current legislation, enforcement, education based on state-of-art knowledge about marijuana, absorption, metabolism and excretion including time dependent psychoactive effects.<\/p>\n

Deliverables<\/em><\/p>\n

1) Provide clarity on the complexity of marijuana psychoactive effects depending on consumption scenarios, relationship between drug content in the body and the impairing effect
\n2) Detection methodology in different matrixes (saliva, blood, urine)
