2024 CARSP Conference Events<\/b><\/p>\n

The YPC is thrilled to host several initiatives at this year\u2019s conference. Below is a quick description of each (<\/span>full details can be found here<\/span><\/a>). We hope to see you there!<\/span><\/p>\n

Insights from Road Safety Expert<\/span><\/i>s - Come join the CARSP YPC for an enriching professional development event, spotlighting a career panel designed specifically for students and young professionals in the field of road safety. Engage in interactive discussions in a 'Fireside chat' format, where your questions drive the conversation. More details on speakers to follow!<\/span><\/p>\n

Networking Mixer <\/span><\/i>- Get ready for an evening of camaraderie and connection at the young professionals and 'young at heart' mixer, hosted by the CARSP YPC! Join us for a casual gathering where conference delegates come together to unwind and network in a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're looking to forge new friendships, discuss shared interests, or simply enjoy good company, this event promises to be a highlight of your conference experience. Student Competitions<\/span><\/i> - Shoutout to all those who submitted to the Student Paper and Poster Competitions! Experts in the field are currently hard at work reviewing and scoring papers. Keep an eye out for an announcement of finalists in early May.<\/span><\/p>\n

Student Travel Award<\/span><\/i> - Western Ergonomics has graciously sponsored the Student Travel Award, which provides financial support for students attending the 2024 CARSP Conference. All students wishing to participate in the conference are eligible for this program. Check out the CARSP website at the end of April for more details and how to apply.<\/span><\/p>\n

7th Ontario Road Safety Forum<\/b><\/p>\n

The YPC is thrilled to launch the 2024 'YPC Mentorship Program', which was announced at the recent Ontario Road Safety Forum (April 10th, 2024, Toronto, ON). This is a unique initiative aimed at fostering meaningful connections between students and seasoned road safety professionals. This program takes place at the 2024 CARSP Conference, where students will be paired with mentors in related fields. This program is a great opportunity for students to learn, grow, and get support as they navigate their way into the road safety field. This will also provide seasoned professionals with an opportunity to share their wealth of knowledge and experiences with the next generation of road safety professionals.
