Eighteen Youth Ambassador teams have been selected to receive a $600 grant to develop a local road safety project, which tackles real-world challenges, ranging from pedestrian safety and active transportation to equitable road design and impaired driving prevention. Each Ambassador team is collaborating with a local organization to implement their project activities, aiming to present a proposal to community leaders\u2014such as municipal officials, law enforcement, or school administrators\u2014to advocate for meaningful change.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year, we\u2019ve seen incredible ideas emerge. From reducing risks at busy intersections to promoting safer biking and driving habits, the projects reflect a shared commitment to fostering a culture of safety and responsibility on our roads. Innovative approaches like \u201cpositive ticketing\u201d reward safe driving habits, while educational outreach efforts use storytelling and interactive sessions to engage younger audiences.
