CARSP\/ICTCT Conference 2025<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CARSP, ICTCT, and Parachute jointly hosted the highly successful CARSP\/ICTCT 2025 Conference from May 20\u201323 in Quebec City, Quebec. Themed \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Innovative Interventions and Technologies for Safer Roads: A Global Perspective<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d, the event welcomed over 230 delegates from Canada and around the world, offering a rich platform for learning, networking, and collaboration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A defining feature of this year\u2019s conference was that it was fully bilingual, with all sessions, materials, and presentations offered in both English and French. This commitment to accessibility and inclusivity ensured meaningful engagement for participants from across the country and beyond and truly reflected the spirit of national and international cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program featured two outstanding keynote speakers: Lars Ekman, who discussed <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Role of New Technology in Implementing Vision Zero<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and Ian Lockwood, who delivered <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Safety: It Takes a Village<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The conference also included four thought-provoking panel discussions: i) <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speed Management and the 5 Es<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ii)<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Bigger Vehicles, Bigger Risks, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">iii)<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Micromobility and Road Safety: Navigating the Future of Urban Transportation<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and iv) <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Advancing Road Safety Through Data Analytics<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The add-on activities: namely the pre-conference workshop, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Collaborative Fatal Collision Investigations<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the Vision Zero walkshop, the bike tours, and City of Quebec Traffic Management Centre tours enriched the overall experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event concluded with a festive Awards Banquet that recognized excellence in road safety. Awards included six student winners: in the poster competition, first place went to Ella Sherafat, second to Tanner Van Every, and third to Cameron Mohammadi; and in the paper competition, first place was awarded to Jerome Range, second to \u00c9milie Bouchard, and third to Wendy Ding. Additional honors included the Mavis Johnson Traffic Safety Award presented to Camille Savoie, the Dr. Charles H. Miller Award awarded to Hillary Maxwell, and three Lifetime Achievement Awards granted to Michel B\u00e9dard, Paul Mackey, and Lynn V\u00e9zina.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This truly bilingual and globally engaged conference set a new benchmark for collaboration in road safety.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>2. CARSP Webinar Series\u00a0<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CARSP has offered five webinars so far in 2025, with monthly webinars set to resume this fall. These sessions continue our mission to share cutting-edge research and best practices with the broader road safety community. The past CARSP webinars are made available to the public in CARSP\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@canadianassociationofroads4838\/featured\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">YouTube channel<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as well as in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/carsp.ca\/en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CARSP website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
