Guided by our Vision <strong>\u201c<em><u>Guiding communities toward safe roads, no matter how travelled<\/u><\/em>,\u201d<\/strong> OSC partners with local organizations, municipalities, school boards and volunteers across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario to close gaps in road safety and community well-being.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting to an enthusiastic Board of Directors, the <strong>Executive Director<\/strong> (ED) provides strategic and operational leadership for OSC, driving the execution of its mission and advancing its impact in the community. This role calls for a collaborative, mission-driven, community-facing leader who can inspire staff, volunteers, and partners alike, fostering a culture of engagement, innovation, and accountability.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Executive Director<\/strong> will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shape and communicate a compelling vision for the organization\u2019s future<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the delivery of OSC\u2019s programs and strategic priorities, including crossing guards and motorcycle training (and beyond)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthen OSC\u2019s public profile and community partnerships<\/li>\n<li>Mentor and develop a high-performing interdisciplinary team<\/li>\n<li>Build lasting relationships with funders, stakeholders, and community leaders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment and brings authenticity, creativity, and a genuine commitment to public service. Experience working with a governance Board, leading professional staff and volunteers in a not-for-profit or NGO setting is essential.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidate Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management role<\/li>\n<li>Proven record in strategy execution, team development, program management, and interest holder engagement<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and advocacy skills<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative, transparent, and integrity-driven leadership style<\/li>\n<li>Passion for community safety and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor on public safety and security<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate in English and French would be an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OSC\u2019s next Executive Director is a builder and mentor, ready to advance the organization\u2019s culture, programs, and community impact.
