Motorcycle Safety Month Always dress for your comfort and protection.
🧤 Protect your hands from wind, cold, and injury in a fall.
🧥 Armoured jacket: built-in protection for shoulders, elbows, and back. Plus, it keeps you warm in cold and ventilated in heat.
👖 Denim doesn’t cut it. Motorcycle pants with padding protect you from road rash and weather.
🥾 Boots protect from impact and offer grip in rain or loose gravel.
🪖 Head protection is non-negotiable. It’s the law and it can save your life.
🎒 Base layers help regulate temperature. Waterproof shells help in rain.

Good gear means fewer distractions, better focus, and more protection, rain or shine. Gear up every ride.

Dress for every ride, rain or shine.
🧤 Gloves for grip and protection
🧥 Armoured jacket for impact + comfort
👖 Motorcycle pants > denim
🥾 Boots for support + traction
🪖 Helmet = life-saving, and it’s the law

Motorcycle Safety Month Motorcycles don’t offer the same protection as cars, so staying alert is key for riders and drivers.

Drivers: always check your mirrors and blind spots. Riders are harder to see but share the same road. Give them space and time.

Riders: wear visible gear, signal clearly, and ride within your skill. If it’s been a while, refresh your skills with ICBC’s *Tuning Up for Riders*.

🚫 Never ride impaired.
✅ Obey traffic and etiquette rules: speed limits, signals, lane splitting.
🧠 Stay focused, stay sharp.
We all play a role in motorcycle safety.

Motorcyclists have less protection, so we all need to stay alert.

Drivers: check mirrors, blind spots, and give space.
Riders: wear visible gear, signal, and ride within your limits.

Motorcycle Safety Month Did you know that half of all motorcycle crashes in B.C. between 2019 and 2023 happened at intersections?

As a driver, you can help keep motorcyclists safe with a few simple habits:

1. Look twice. Motorcycles have a smaller profile and can be harder to see. Always check carefully before turning or pulling out.
2. Riders can be hidden behind vehicles or roadside objects. A second look can save a life.
3. Signal early. Clear signals give motorcyclists time to adjust their speed or position.
4. Give space & stay patient. Leave room, especially when turning or changing lanes.
5. Approach intersections with caution. Slow down and be prepared to yield.

Hey drivers!

1. Spot the riders.

2. Check blind spots.

3. Watch for signals

Together, let’s keep our roads safe and friendly.
