Join the Canadian Association of Road Safety Professionals (CARSP) in Vancouver, British Columbia, May 30 – June 2, 2027, for our annual national conference, co-hosted with Transoft Solutions.

Bringing together road safety professionals from across Canada and beyond, the 2027 conference will connect researchers, practitioners, engineers, planners, policymakers, public health professionals, law enforcement, industry leaders, community organizations, students, and emerging professionals to share knowledge, explore new ideas, and advance action toward safer transportation systems.

Under the theme Designing Safer Futures – Connecting People. Inspiring Innovation. Driving Action., the conference will explore the research, policies, technologies, programs, practices, and partnerships shaping the future of road and transportation safety.

Programming will reflect the breadth of today's rapidly evolving safety environment, with contributions spanning original research and emerging evidence; innovative programs, technologies and practices; implementation and measurable outcomes; policy, planning and engineering solutions; lessons from practice and community initiatives; cross-sector collaboration; lived experience and community perspectives; and the future of safe mobility.

The conference will also create opportunities to explore safety across increasingly interconnected transportation systems, including rail safety and road-rail interactions, alongside issues affecting motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, micromobility users, commercial vehicles, communities, and other road users.

Grounded in the principles of the Safe System Approach, CARSP 2027 will move beyond simply identifying road safety challenges to examining how evidence, innovation, collaboration, and implementation can translate into meaningful action and measurable improvements.

Attendees can look forward to an engaging mix of plenary sessions, panels, workshops, practitioner and researcher presentations, student paper and poster competitions, technical activities, networking opportunities, and the annual Networking and Awards Gala—all set against the backdrop of one of Canada's most dynamic and beautiful cities.
