Abstract
This article is about road safety and analyzes of data in Russia Federation collected over a period of 10 years (2001-2010), with a more detailed analysis for the period from 2004 to 2009. These data gives us information on the rate of accidents that result in fatalities and injuries. We’re relying on “Driver-Vehicle- Road-Environment” system which divides data in different categories such as: Type of accidents; Involvement of drivers and pedestrians; Road accidents according to driving experience; Roads involved; Month of the year; The frequency of inspection of road checks; Vehicle malfunction etc. The outcome of this analysis is a helpful tool that allows us to better understand road safety today in Russia.
