Abstract
This paper presents a methodology developed by HDR in conducting road network safety assessments using a recent project as an example. Road network safety assessments are a novel approach to evaluating safety in a municipality. The approach is well suited to small to medium sized municipalities in Ontario with a relatively large road network that is predominantly rural.
