Shawna will be presenting recommendations for national indicators to better measure the prevalence, impact, and reduction of drug-impaired driving (DID). The indicators are based on recommendations from experts in DID across Canada and a DID Advisory Committee.

Shawna Meister
Shawna Meister is the Interim Associate Director of Research at the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction. She conducts evidence-based research on alcohol- and drug-impaired driving, and on substance use and the workplace. Her background includes publications on various road safety issues (such as impaired driving, cognitive impairment, vulnerable road users), as well as alcohol and cannabis use, impairment and safety-sensitive industries, and impairment and workplace policies.
