Traffic calming quick-builds: Making safer communities with concrete and art

CARSP Webinar Series

Date/Time
Date(s) - September 16, 2026
12:00 pm EDT - 1:00 pm EDT

ZOOM

This webinar will share information about the City of Winnipeg’s Traffic Calming Quick-build Program, using temporary traffic calming curbs (TC curbs), posts, and paint to address safety issues quickly and affordably. The TC curbs are dovetailed with traffic calming murals, to both improve safety and beautify the neighbourhood. The traffic calming murals are designed and painted by community artist, in partnership with local non-profit organizations.

The presentation will provide an overview of TC curb designs, construction, and education outreach efforts, as well as monitoring and evaluation of the project.
