Road Safety Program Manager
Position Overview
ICBC is seeking a Road Safety Programs Manager to join its Road Safety team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced professional to contribute to safer, more sustainable transportation systems in British Columbia.
In this role, you will support the Director of Road Safety by providing leadership and expertise in the development, implementation, and evaluation of road safety programs. You'll work closely with government and industry partners to drive positive change in the transportation landscape.
Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic initiatives focused on active transportation, community planning, and sustainable mobility.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote road safety best practices and policy improvements.

Oversee program evaluation, cost-effectiveness analysis, and budget monitoring.

Support development of internal road safety strategies and priorities.

Secure funding and partnerships for road safety initiatives.

Represent ICBC at road safety seminars and conferences.

Provide team leadership through performance planning and development.
Qualifications

A degree in a transportation-related discipline (graduate level preferred).

Minimum 8 years of experience in road safety, transportation planning, or engineering.

Professional designation (e.g., P.Eng.).

Strong knowledge of transportation planning, active transportation, and systemic road safety practices.

Experience with project/program management and stakeholder negotiation.

Familiarity with relevant policies, legislation, and road safety strategies.
