May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness month!
May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness month, and RoadSafetyBC is pleased to be leading an awareness campaign about this important road safety initiative.
This RoadSafetyBC campaign aims to spread awareness about what all road users can do to keep motorcyclists safe. Motorcyclists are much more vulnerable than drivers of enclosed vehicles, and they account for an outsized number of road injuries and fatalities compared to their small percentage of total road users. We also see a drastic increase in motorcyclists – and subsequently in motorcycle-involved crashes – in the spring and summer, as the weather improves.
With this campaign, RoadSafetyBC hopes to teach and remind British Columbians of what motorcyclists and other drivers can do to increase everyone’s safety on our roads.
